The entire weight loss industry is built around two things: control and making money. Except our weight isn’t an indicator of health and it isn’t something that’s 100% under our control. In this episode I talk about the many factors affecting our weight, why the control of weight loss programs isn’t healthy (especially for neurodivergent individuals or those who have past trauma), and provide a great resource on fat bias in healthcare for you to have and share with your medical providers.
Instead of worrying about controlling what we’re eating, let’s cultivate more connection and a better relationship with our bodies. Let’s think about why we’re eating and perhaps if that works well for us. I hope you enjoy this show.
